Rodney Harris


Rodney, a native of New York City, started his dance career in the eighties.

In the clubs of New York City, he became an accomplished Hustle and Salsa dancer, leading him to win a number of local dance competitions.


Shortly after, he turned his focus to Ballroom and Latin dancing.  Under the instruction of some of the finest coaches in the world, he enjoyed a successful professional competitive career in both International and American styles of Ballroom dancing during which he attained several competitive titles.

While still an active Pro-Am Ballroom & Latin competitive dance teacher, his joy is teaching social dance. He believes the world should know how to dance and has honed the techniques that make it easy for everyone to learn.  Rodney believes that partner dancing is a life skill that everyone can use at any age to have fun. 

Rodney teaches American Smooth, American Rhythm and various social dances such as Hustle, Peabody and more.
