Dmitry Barov

Dmitry Barov is a distinguished professional Latin American dancer with over 24 years of experience. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and raised in Berlin, Germany, he began his dance journey at the young age of nine at the esteemed Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin. After four years of classical training, Dmitry found his true passion and calling in Ballroom Dancing.

Dmitry quickly rose to prominence, securing multiple Berlin Championship titles, reaching the finals of the German Championships, and competing in prestigious international competitions across the globe. His transition to professional dancing in 2014 marked the beginning of an even more illustrious phase in his career. His achievements include titles such as German Cup Champion and German Vice Champion, along with being a semifinalist in both World and European Championships.

In 2018, Dmitry moved to the United States, where he quickly made his mark as a National Rising Star Finalist and consistently reached the finals of major competitions. He is recognized as a leader both in the professional competitive sphere and in the Pro/Am community, guiding his students to semifinals and finals on the US circuit.

Dmitry’s versatility extends beyond the dance floor; he has worked as a model, starred in TV shows, and served as a choreographer for the German version of "Dancing with the Stars." Today, he proudly represents the USA with his dance partner, Sarina Wright.
