Valentine began competitive ballroom dancing at the age of 16. After years of competing in 10-dance (International Latin and Ballroom) he decided to specialize in International Ballroom.

in 2005, Valentine moved to London England to study with some of the best ballroom teachers in the world. Upon returning to the U.S. he captured the Amateur Northeastern Championships and placed in the finals at many prestigious competitions across the States.

Valentine has been teaching and coaching for over 18 years. Students under his study have completed various goals such as medal testing in the syllabus (USISTD, ISTD and DVIDA), performing in showcases, dancing socially, preparing for a wedding and competing in Pro/Am competitions. His competitive students have placed in the finals and won scholarship awards at various competitions, including the prestigious Ohio Star Ball.

The past several years Valentine has dedicated to Argentine Tango: Teaching, Dancing, Performing  and competing at the United States Argentine Tango Championships.

Valentine has traveled extensively  and trained under many top coaches and professionals in American style, International style and Argentine Tango. He is excited to share this accumulated knowledge of dance with others  at all levels and ages. many students enjoy his attention to details, his energy, his advanced knowledge of technique and styling, making them better partners. 

Valentine is available for private lessons, private dance hosting, Pro/Am competitions, showcases, Dance achievement testing and dance travel.
