Shannon Jensen

As a child, Shannon dedicated a lot of time performing to promote heart health as part of an acrobatic jump rope team for the American Heart Association. She later began dancing in a beginning ballroom dance class at her junior high school also at the age of 13 and fell in love with the art after her first day. She achieved a high level of success quickly as an amateur including becoming a 2 time National Amateur Cabaret Vice Champion, and tying for 1st in the National Amateur Pre-Championship Latin at the age of 17.   She also attended Brigham Young University where she

graduated with a degree in Dance.

Shane (professional dance partner) and Shannon Jensen are part of the new generation of American ballroom dancers who have created a unique partnership that has quickly won them prominence throughout the United States and Europe. Upon turning professional in 2012, they immediately won their first National Professional title and have since risen to the top of all styles they compete in. Among the successes they’ve had in their professional competitive career, they have also been featured performers on many public television programs such as America’s Got Talent, NBC’s “The Today Show”, the PBS Special “The America’s Ballroom Challenge”, and ASN’s “The Dance League”.

Shane and Shannon met at Brigham Young University where they were members of the World renowned BYU Ballroom Dance Company. While completing their education they were part of the 2010 winning Blackpool amateur Latin Formation team and had the opportunity to perform and compete all over the world including Scotland, England, Thailand, and Vietnam.Throughout their time as Professionals, they have enjoyed great success.

  • 2 Time British Open Invitational Cabaret Champions

  • 6 Time Current and Undefeated United States National Professional Cabaret Champions

  • 5 Time Current World Professional Cabaret Champions

  • 4 Time United States National Professional Theatrical Ballroom Champions

  • United States National Professional American Rhythm Grand Finalists

  • United States National Professional Rising Star American Rhythm Champions
